Description
A kit for Tharja's accessories with flexible thigh bands and an option for a flexible collar!
There are two options for the thigh bands. They come 24" long and no matter which material you use, both can be cut to size if you need them smaller:
-
Vytaflex: Flexible rubber that we'll cast in gold. It cannot be painted, but it loves superglue so it's easy to assemble. Needs careful storage but is a bit more comfortable to wear.
- 45D: Also flexible, but can be perma-shaped with a bit of heat if you want it shaped exactly to your thigh. It can be stored in this shape! You can paint it with flexible paints like acrylic. You'll need something strong, like epoxy to glue it.
Tharja's neck collar, cast in a flexible resin for comfort and adjustability. The back is open, and because it is flexible, how wide it opens for your neck is adjustable. We offer it trimmed and untrimmed; a trimmed one has been cut down to the edges of the piece, while the untrimmed one has flashing still. There is no functional difference to this, it just allows us to offer them at a slightly lower price, as it saves us a bit of production time!
It is friendly to acrylic paints and automotive paints, ideally painted in really thin layers. While it is far more paintable than your average rubber, it still likes flexible paints. It also works fantastic with Rub n Buff; "Grecian Gold" matches it really well. We also cold-cast it by default; if you want to match golds you will want to paint it anyway, but it does work on its own if you want to leave it and it functions as a great base coat in case your paint scratches.
While we don't recommend storing the collar folded up long-term, you can travel with it in any suitcase and it'll bounce back almost immediately when unpacked.
The plastic gets more stiff in cold weather and softer in the heat. Please don't expose it to high/direct heat for too long. Edges can be sanded.
We suggest lining in felt for comfort, but you can leave it bare to keep it more washable with soap and water. (Plastic is not very breathable!)
Want to see it in motion? We've got a video on our twitter here:

Kits are unfinished and require sanding, painting, and assembly. Everything is made to order so please expect a 2-3 week production time!
Feel free to tag us to show us what you print and make! We love to see finished works.
