Dangerous Ladies' 3D models for Hoofed 's Characters
Model by @BecofHearts
.stl format. Hooves finish between 2.49 and 3.79 inches tall. There are a variety of alternate hooves in the pack. There are a few style variations, and 1 structural variation that includes a pocket for the base of a heel to sit in.
SIZING:
These measurements are in inches.
- Tall simple hoof: 7.97 x 7.18 x 3.79
- Tall Detailed Hoof: 8.25 x 6.53 x 3.30
- Smooth Simple hoof: 7.32 x 6.66 x 2.68
- Simple with Shallow crease hoof: 6.58 x 6.02 x 2.49
- Simple Hoof with Shoe Imprint: 7.41 x 5.66 x 2.83
- Deep slit hoof: 7.52 x 5.94 x 2.84
- Detailed Deep slit hoof: 7.05 x 5.55 x 2.51
- Shallow crescent detailed: 6.58 x 5.96 x 2.49
- Simple Hoof: 7.04 x 5.66 x 2.50
These were made originally for a size 10 heel, but it can be resized as needed. Not all pump heels are made with the same proportions. It is recommended you do a test print to make sure the hoof suits the shoe you plan on attaching it too. The measurements above do not include supports, most of these hooves will not require supports externally for printing, but for higher levels of stability during printing it may be useful.
ASSEMBLY:
There are a few options for attaching to a shoe:
- You may use strong adhesive to attach it to a shoe. I suggest something with a chemical bond rather than mechanical; mechanical glues use heat to weld pieces together, for example, but can still separate again. Chemical bonds like superglue, loctite, weld bond, E6000 and structural epoxies work great for this, as long as they have sufficient cure time. Basically, do it minimum 72 hours before your event.
- You may print it hollow and fill it with a resin and mount the shoe up so it can cure directly to the base. To print hollow with an open top, set your wall thickness to the desired thickness and select 0% infill and 0 top layers. You can also do an open bottom with 0 bottom layers.
- You may print the hoof of choice and make a mold to cast in resin, and insert the shoe's base before filling the mould with resin.
If you do choose to print it and use the print directly, you must print at a higher infill for structural security.. Everyone's weight is different but on average I recommend at least a 50% infill minimum. I recommend either honeycomb, triangular or cubic.
