Dangerous Ladies' 3D models for Gustave's Prosthetic Arm
Model by Jennifer Rezny (@quicksparrows)
.stl format. Sliced for a 200mm tall printer, but many will fit smaller.
This one's a doozy!
- The lower arm revolves around a gauntlet that straps to your arm. The outer plates will attach to this. Test printing this gauntlet is the best way to figure out what sizing is appropriate to you. It is intended to stop around 1" above the wrist bend, and 1.5" below the elbow bend. You can scale for width and depth separately from height if desired to not make the whole arm too long.
The gauntlet is intended to be closed with an elastic strap. I've included slots and some basic guide channels for this. You can also run this to the wrist piece. It also has posts for the outer plates to attach to. You must scale all these pieces the same way.
- Bicep can be scaled separately.
- Fingers include sizes 3 through 16, and come in three different lengths depending on how long or short your finger segments are. I suggest starting with a ring sizer and then printing the different segment lengths and seeing which fits on you best. Remember to size including any base glove you'll be wearing!
- The hand pieces are obviously going to be quite snug even after scaling, especially in rigid materials. I strongly suggest printing these in TPU 95A for flexibility. The palm guard is largely included as an option; I think it's pretty unreasonably in PLA and should be done in TPU or in fabric instead. For people printing in TPU, I've included a "buck" version where you can print it in TPU on a 0.6mm buck and then trim off that buck with scissors. It reduces supports and makes the print a ton more stable.
- I've included a test print file for the hand for both TPU and PLA. This is not a functional print, it'll just give you an idea of how the default sizing fits on your hand specifically before printing the actual files. It's an easier print that doesn't need the same supports as the old one!

- Photos
- .STL files
