A kit for Hypnos' accessories from Hades. Collar is about 16" by default, the wings span 39", and the bib serves as a harness to hold the wings up.

The harness is worn under the coat, with slots put in the coat for the clear acrylic rods to pass through, and then the wings get mounted onto that. This helps it look like the wings "float", and makes it easy to take them on and off for travel, eating, and other things you might want to do when wearing a costume without taking the whole thing off.

Assembles with the following rods:
- 2x 2.5" acrylic rod, 3/8" diameter
- 2x 4.5" acrylic rod, 3/8" diameter

Glue, paints and tools not included. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production, as everything is made to order!

This is not an official product and is made as a part of Supergiant Games' fan works policy. We will be doing a maximum run of 100 of these; they are all produced in-house by our artists. Once they're gone, they're gone!

Great quality despite v.1 being too heavy, incredible customer service

I SO desperately wanted to love these, but they were just too heavy. When assembled, the weight of the wings and rods would cause the bib to dig uncomfortably into my shoulders, and padding it didn't do much to help with the pain. The wings also caused the bib to break several times over the course of both cons I attended with it -- they're way, way too heavy and gravity would just cause the back wings to droop and droop until they finally snapped. :(

I think that if the wings had been 3d printed to be hollow inside instead of solid, that would have made all the difference in the world.

Also, note that putting on this cosplay is 100% a two-person job. When you have the bib assembled and put on, you're not able to lift your arms high enough to put the wing rods in the holes. Potential cosplayers may also want to consider rigging up some kind of hinge system for the wings -- at crowded cons, the wings are a hazard to others trying to maneuver around you, and liable to get damaged from people bumping into you. Would be good to be able to fold the rods/wings in!

With that said, I was happy with the quality of the print, and the customer service was impeccable, they happily answered any questions I had about assembling it! I would purchase from them again, and if they ever do a revamped version of the wings, I would snap them up in a heartbeat.

EDIT: Jenn's courteousness, professionalism, and promptness immediately bumped this up from a 2 to a 5 star for me. I've never had such a wonderful customer service interaction before, with someone who so genuinely wanted to improve my experience. They actually took the time and care to consider the suggested feedback and implement a practical solution/offer to send me the edited replacements to try it out again. Their expertise and dedication to their art really shone through. I'll edit my review again when I give the new pieces a whirl, but I am confident that they'll work out! I'd definitely recommend people who are on the fence to go for it, and to email if you run into any issues -- their willingness to help you incorporate their incredible prints alone is worth the price. Definitely a small business worth supporting!

Hey Kristen!

I just wanted to reach out about your issues with the Hypnos kit –– totally valid concerns! These kits do get really heavy because of the sheer bulk on them and it ends up being an unfortunate tightrope to walk between what is durable and what is lightweight, and the balance isn’t always perfect. (Especially that big wing, ouch!) They are, for what it's worth, not entirely solid –– there’s an infill in them kind of like honeycomb that adds strength without making it completely solid, but it’s still quite a bit more than if it was entirely hollow. I’d also love to see pictures of how you rigged it so I can troubleshoot improvements to this kit! I’ve seen a few of them used and handled one IRL at a con so I’d love to see what I could tweak vs what insight I could lend on making it more comfortable to wear, even if the design will never truly be convenient!

One thing I could possibly do is hollow out the big wing a lot more (so it’s thinner front to back) –– not sure about the flat wings on front and back but I could take a look to reduce where I can. Would you be interested if I sent you some replacement wings to test and give a whirl and see if they work better for you? I’m not sure how I’d approach a hinge for the big guy that wouldn’t add even more weight/bulk on the shoulder, but I’d love to take a look to see what I could do.

Cheers,
Jenn
