It’s sad to us as artists that after a combined century of crafting experience, we need to publicly state that we do, in fact, create our works with our own hands, minds, imaginations and creative faculties.
We do not use generative or modern assistive AI in the creation of our work or in the operations of our business.
We also are strong advocates for removing generative AI from conventions. We support Artist Alleys with clear stances against AI “art”, and do not support or sponsor events that we know to use AI in their marketing and on their websites and socials.
There are, of course, precious few ways to interact with the internet without touching companies that use generative AI, but wherever possible we have made efforts to reduce our contact with them. Even here on Shopify, we have opted out from their AI program, making us ineligible to sell via the Shop app and on similar platforms, simply because we do not believe in supporting AI systems.
